The Rehabilitation of The Conference Room of The Ministry of Tourism and Environment

The main conference room of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment in Tirana hosts various important meetings with local and international stakeholders that are part of different level projects. The variety in its official nature makes the conference room a space with great potential regarding visibility and tangibility when it comes to providing a physical hosting space for various different projects. In the scope of the Due Mari Project, the conference room was chosen as the physical staging area.

The rehabilitation was carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Environment. The last maintenance intervention of the conference room was 10 years ago and the space had not been upkept ever since. Considering this, a few modest yet robust interventions were implemented in order to revitalize the space and develop a cohesive visual identity.

The vision consisted in remodeling the space using neutral colors such as light sage green and earth tones. Vegetation was also added to the conference room.

A VR area placed near the main entrance of the conference room was created, where visitors can use the VR sets to experience the full effect of the Due Mari online platform.
